Shelly, Angel and I volunteering at “Wrap Night” for Santa’s Posse, December 18, 2014.

With the New Year come new year resolutions…have you made yours?  Whether you’ve decided to finally lose some weight, kick a bad habit or maybe save a little money, perhaps there’s room for one more thing on your list…volunteering.

There are so many opportunities for volunteering around Camas such as working in our great schools, Spring Clean Up & Plant Day, Lacamas Lake Cleanup, or one of the many other organized community events.  Have you considered donating blood, giving your time to a great charity like Treasure House, or even becoming a mentor through a program like Big Brothers Big Sisters?

Think of what a difference a year can make…and what better way to spend that year than serving others and helping to better our community.  I think you’ll find that volunteering is a reward unto itself!
